Rumen is a UK | London based award-winning photographer and image creator, specialising in still life photography with emphasis on Drinks and Beverages.
It all started back in his early high-school years when he studied arts in a specialised school. However, being from a professional sports family, was particularly influential in his childhood and very soon after he enrolled for an education in arts, he decided to pursue a career as a professional athlete.
During the course of the next 17 years, driven by an immense passion and unparalleled competitive spirit he won multiple World and European awards. At the age of 18 he was awarded Most Technical Athlete for 2005.
Although this was his main focus during that time, his natural artistic talents grew along side - particularly in photography and black and white drawing.
The drive and dedication inherited from his competitive years were successfully transferred into a new endeavour and after retiring from the sport, he completed his photography degree at the University of West London.
The time spent there ignited his interest of photographing challenging objects. Highly reflective, glossy or transparent surfaces were big no, no for his classmates and this deepened his curiously even further.
Upon completing his education with some of the highest scores, his work was selected and recognised among more than 500 creative students, and was solely showcased on the opening front role of the Graduation Ceremony.
Straight away his work became a benchmark in the newly open Commercial Photography department and was used exclusively as a prime industry example.
